Bright and modern redesign of higher dependency care service delights residents

A fresh new look for one of the luxury care services at Middleton Hall Retirement Village has been unveiled.

Following investment in a major refurbishment and redecoration project, the village’s higher dependency care service, Middleton Court, has been redesigned and enhanced to provide a light-filled modern space for residents. The newly transformed space boasts modern furnishings and facilities featuring contemporary designs and a series of inviting communal areas where residents can relax and socialise together.

A brightly decorated bistro-style dining area has been created with facilities where residents and visitors are able to make tea, coffee and snacks and make the most of the views onto a newly landscaped garden space.

Beyond the dining room is a comfortable lounge that is designed to be a quiet, reflective space. French windows open onto a flower-filled central courtyard garden with chairs, tables and sun umbrellas and which is lit by strings of twinkling lights after dark.

The project was entirely managed and implemented by Middleton Hall Retirement Village’s five-strong maintenance team. Managing Director, Suzanne Graham said: “They have done an incredible job with meticulous attention to detail and they have created a beautiful environment.

“The residents who live in Middleton Court are absolutely delighted as are the teams who work there.”

One of the residents commented: “I really like the new decoration it all looks so lovely,” adding, “The staff are absolutely marvellous, and I am really happy living here.”

Enhanced Communal Areas

Communal areas have been significantly upgraded to foster a sense of community and engagement among residents. The lounge and dining areas now feature contemporary designs, with comfortable seating arrangements and an inviting ambiance. These spaces are not only visually appealing but also designed to accommodate a variety of social activities, promoting interaction and a vibrant community spirit.

Outdoor Transformation

Externally, Middleton Court has undergone substantial improvements. The gardens surrounding the service have been redesigned to create tranquil outdoor spaces where residents can relax, socialise and enjoy nature from the comfort of the living room. The courtyard space has also been enhanced by inviting string lighting, jet washed paving stones, upgraded wiring to the lattice sides and new planting in the boxes which added a botanical charm once they bloomed with daffodils and tulips, adding to the welcoming ambience.
