Celebrating 40 Years of service and a remarkable milestone at Middleton Hall

Michelle Rutley (right) presents Vanessa Holland with a framed certificate and gift tokens in celebration of her long service

A member of the housekeeping team at Middleton Hall Retirement Village is celebrating an impressive achievement after clocking up an incredible 40 years of service.

Vanessa Holland has spent the past four decades with Middleton Hall and is a familiar face among both residents and colleagues. She has always worked full time, only recently switching to part- time hours, and says the best part of her job is “the friendly faces” she works with and the residents she loves.

“It gets you out, and you meet so many different people,” Vanessa said. “I love the benefits and the people here.”

Her positive outlook is evident in everything she does. “Stay positive and make the most of things,” she says, a motto that’s clearly served her well.

It’s also very much a family affair for Vanessa. Her daughter and sister both work at Middleton Hall, and her granddaughter has also been part of the team in the past.

Vanessa was presented with a framed certificate to mark her milestone achievement along with some gift vouchers including a special coffee and cake to enjoy in The Orangery bistro.

Adam Wardale, Operations Director at Middleton Hall said, “We’re all absolutely delighted for Vanessa, 40 years is an incredible achievement. Her positive outlook and dedication are inspiring and we are very grateful for everything she’s contributed over the years.”
