Christmas lights switch-on

The beginning of December marked the start of our Christmas celebrations here at Middleton Hall starting with a event to mark the official switch-on of this year’s stunning display of Christmas lights in the grounds.

Residents from across the village joined families, friends and Co-owners and their families to gather together to sing songs led by one of our talented Co-owners and enjoy mulled wine and mince pies at The Pavillion.

Representatives from Beamish Museum’s 1950’s Village were our guests of honour joining in the festivities before officially switching on the lights. Ahead of the event they also spent time talking to residents about the replica of a Fish and Chip Shop from 1950s Middleton St George which is one of Beamish’s newest attractions.

The Christmas lights switch-on is the first of many festive events planned at Middleton Hall Retirement Village throughout December with each Care Service having Christmas parties and special events being held in The Orangery and Restaurant for our Independent Residents.

A gallery of pictures taken at the event is below. If you have your own festive images of Middleton Hall Retirement Village we’d love to see them. You can share them with us via email at info@mhrv.co.uk.
