Co-owner wellbeing support service launched to mark World Mental Health Day

To mark World Mental Health Day Middleton Hall Retirement Village is announcing a new partnership with Talk Works to further promote and support Co-owner wellbeing.

The theme of this year’s World Mental Health Day on 10 October is ‘Make mental health and wellbeing for all a global priority‘ and the partnership is aimed at creating a better understanding and appreciation of mental health for all.

Talk Works is an organisation which works alongside businesses across the UK to help employees work well, feel well and engage well at work.

Talk Works states: “One in six of us in the workplace experience mental health problems every year. Talk Works believes that employees are your most important asset – they are the heart of any business. We want people to thrive and fulfil their potential in the workplace, so they can lead happier lives outside of it. We work in partnership with business leaders, HR and Occupational Health teams to provide mental health education and rapid access to therapy.”

Over the next year Middleton Hall’s partnership with Talk Works will deliver a series of initiatives including quarterly workshops for Co-owners, supporting and engaging managers to have effective mental health conversations and participating in wellbeing online.

World Mental Health Day is also a chance to talk about mental health in general, how everyone needs to look after it, and how important it is to talk about things and get help if you are struggling. Support is always available at Middleton Hall for anyone who is struggling with their mental health or knows someone who is, and anyone can speak in confidence at any time to a manager or the People Team.
