Middleton Hall takes on Bake off

Middleton Hall made history in the baking by taking part in its own Bake off, in celebration of the Great British Bake off final which aired on Tuesday 15th November.

Residents and Co-owners were encouraged to bake anything from cookies, cakes, biscuits and more for the event and the results did not disappoint…offerings included chocolate cake, Gugelhupf, chocolate chunk cookies, caramel apple bar loaves, caramel apple cupcakes & sticky toffee cupcakes.

The independent table tennis group were tasked with coming hungry to the event as they were put forward to judge the entries! Each bake was given a score out of 5 for presentation and taste.

and winners were….🥁🥁🥁 Middleton Gardens with their caramel apple loaf bars! The judges said the standard was very high, however the winning bake was wonderful…the sponge was light and the caramel cream added a great flavour…The resident bakers were delighted with their win and received a certificate and box of chocolates to celebrate.
