Dementia Action Week celebrated with “Forget Me Not” coffee morning

Residents and co-owners came together to support Dementia Action Week from Monday 18th May to Sunday 24th May, raising awareness and showing support for those living with dementia.

As part of the week, Middleton Oaks hosted a wonderful “Forget Me Not” coffee morning in the Winter Garden.

The Winter Garden was beautifully decorated with handmade flowers created by residents during a Seasonal Craft session, while our Knit & Natter group crocheted lovely Forget-Me-Not brooches which were gifted to everyone attending the event.

Middleton Oaks carers also baked a fantastic selection of homemade cakes and treats for guests to enjoy throughout the morning.

Everyone had a wonderful time sharing conversation, enjoying a brew and cake, singing together and even dancing, all in support of Dementia Awareness Week.
