The popular Middleton Hall Village Show returned with a fantastic turnout, welcoming residents, families and members of the wider community for a day packed with entertainment, activities and fun.
The free event featured something for everyone, including medieval re-enactments from Vanguard Medieval Re-enactment, performances from Locos in Motion Border Morris Group, music from the Darlington Salvation Army Band and guided tours of Middleton Hall’s beautiful gardens.
Visitors could also explore the Craft & Produce Show, browse a variety of shopping stalls, admire classic cars and enjoy a barbecue and refreshments throughout the event.
Medieval re-enactors brought a little piece of 13th-century history to Middleton Hall’s care services, where they met residents and created some memorable reactions and conversations.
Adam Wardale, Managing Director Designate at Middleton Hall Retirement Village, said: “It has been lovely to see so many people enjoying themselves, and the Village Show was a fantastic way to round off our summer events programme.
“One of the highlights was seeing the reactions of our residents when the medieval re-enactors visited our care services.”

It was a wonderful celebration of the Middleton Hall community and a fitting way to round off a brilliant summer of events.
