Candlelit swim at Middleton Spa to mark ‘A Night Without Light’

Middleton Hall Retirement Village’s Healthy Living team invited Spa members, residents and Co-owners to mark ‘A Night Without Light’ on 13 October.

The initiative was promoted by Solar Aid, an international charity founded in 2006 to combat poverty and climate change. It aims to raise awareness of what it’s like living in darkness which the charity states “is a reality every evening at 6pm when the sun sets for 590million people in sub-Saharan Africa with no access to electricity.”

Three Co-owners took up the challenge of a candlelit swim in the Middleton Spa pool. They arrived in time to enjoy an evening swim before enjoying the candlelit atmosphere.
