Spring into Community Spirit

The Middleton Hall Retirement Village community celebrated a triumphant Spring Shopping Event, drawing in residents and visitors to indulge in a delightful array of local stalls, beauty demonstrations, and an enlightening talk from a local author.

One of the highlights of the day was the Estée Lauder beauty demonstration, which offered attendees the opportunity to explore the latest beauty trends and techniques under the expert guidance of skilled professionals. The demonstration not only showcased premium beauty products but also provided valuable tips and tricks to enhance one’s skincare and makeup routines.

Adding to the event’s allure was a captivating talk from a local author E J P Heslop, who’s insights and anecdotes enthralled the audience. Her modern and contemporary fiction ‘The Knell Gate’ creates an interesting juxtaposition between the lives of those who lived through the Covid-19 pandemic, and the 1665 plague. The book was of particular interest to attendees of the talk as the book is set in the local village of Hurworth

With an abundance of local talent on display and opportunities to engage in, it was a great day of community spirit and shared enjoyment.
