Welcome to our new Finance Director

Richard Attwood has been appointed as Middleton Hall’s Finance Director.

He joins the business from Prestige Care Homes where he spent the past four years as Group Finance Director.

A qualified chartered accountant, Richard’s career has included senior finance roles with the retail division of multinational oil and gas company Shell as well as global leader in sustainable marine services, Svitzer, as well as periods living and working in Denmark, Sweden and Glasgow.

Richard brings a wealth of experience to the newly created position at Middleton Hall Retirement Village and he will be managing the finance team as well as being part of the business’s management team.

“I am really pleased to have joined the Middleton Hall team and I am excited about the opportunity to put my experience to good use in my new role,” he said.

“I’m looking forward to meeting residents and Co-owners in the coming weeks. If you see me please say hello.”

Originally from Middlesbrough, Richard lives in Yarm with his wife, four daughters and the family’s rescue dog Heidi. A lifelong Manchester United fan, he also follows the fortunes of Hartlepool United. When not at work he is often to be found dropping off his daughters at activities that range from football, dancing and horse riding to Rainbows, Guides, swimming and karate.
