Residents across Middleton Hall Retirement Village enjoyed a full programme of activities in the run-up to the Coronation. Here’s a short news story highlighting some of the events that took place.
The packed schedule started off with an afternoon of party games, including ‘find the corgi’.
Residents and family members then had afternoon tea and a royal-themed quiz.
Craft activities during the week preceding the big day included creating red, white and blue brooches and decorations
Our kitchen team also baked some spectacular Coronation cakes!
Residents also tried their hand at being bakers and florists, in the Coronation bake off competition and flower arranging competition- Middleton Oaks won the title as best bakers with their Coronation themed pavlova and Middleton Oaks won with their floral arrangement.
Middleton Oaks held their own Coronation party on the day of the big event, filled with good food and even better company.
