Middleton Oaks brings the community together for a Forget Me Not Coffee Morning

Residents, visitors, and co-owners gathered at the Middleton Oaks Winter Garden for the ‘Forget Me Not’ Coffee Morning, a community event aimed at raising awareness about dementia and supporting those affected by memory loss.

The event was held in support of the Forget Me Not Appeal, organised by the Alzheimer’s Society. This June, the appeal is calling on people across the UK to unite in the fight against dementia, the country’s leading cause of death. Donations help provide vital support and fund pioneering research.

The relaxed gathering gave attendees an opportunity to connect over coffee, cake, and conversation. Adding a special touch, the Knit & Natter group displayed hand-knitted forget-me-nots, while residents in the art class contributed ceramic flowers, both showcased throughout the event.
